I never had the pleasure of meeting Axel but I knew all about him. I loved seeing his journey following Alexis online and seeing him grow. His energy and enthusiasm was infectious through the phone. You could tell he was an extremely special kid and it breaks my heart I will no longer be able to see his journey unfold. Reading his story on here just confirms the man he was destined to be and how great of a job Alexis was doing. And when my wife and I have kids all the adventures and experiences Alexis did with Axel will be a blueprint we follow, and part of him will live on thru that. I am so sorry for your loss Alexis and the Hernandez family. My heart breaks for you. All of my love is being sent your way.

You don’t know me but I live across the street from where this awful act happened. Your beautiful boy used to come out with your grandma and pet my little dog. He was so perfect and sweet. I am so incredibly sorry for all of you and I hope that someday you can find some peace.

I had the privilege & honor of being part of Axel’s life. From Alexis & I growing up across the street from each other, to having our babies; seeing our babies together has been one of the best experiences. I will grieve everyday for Axel, Alexis and their family.
