Greece: August 16, 2014. Predeceased by her daughter, Denise Parnell. Survived by husband, James C. Brownlee; her children, Cheri Parnell, and Estelle (Pat) DiMonda; grandchildren, Liam Noah Webster; brother, Robert (Kathie) Palozzillo; many nieces, nephews dear friends. Visitation is 1-3 6-9 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between 390 Long Pond Rd) where Barbara's funeral service will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thursday. Interment Falls Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Unity Health Foundation, 1555 Long Pond Rd, Rochester, NY 14626 in Barbara's memory. Born on July 14, 1936 in Rochester, NY, Barbara grew up on Ambrose Street. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1954. In 1974, she met Jim at the Spur of the Moment Lounge. They were married on August 19, 1978. Barbara worked at Eastman Kodak for over 30 years. She also volunteered at Unity Hospital, GEVA, was a member of the Red Hat Society, was active in her children's activities at school and worked on the Jefferson Reunion committee. In her spare time, Barbara enjoyed dogs and walking them, going to camp in Prattsburg, and she took good care of herself by exercising. She loved taking the grandkids to fun places like the museum, planetarium, zoo, movies, and Springdale Farms. Barbara liked cooking and always thought "there was never enough food". Family and friends would best describe Barbara as someone who was social, a leader, thoughtful, compassionate, never stopped moving, and loved her family and grandchildren above all else. She will be deeply missed.
