N. Chili: February 4, 2023. Beverly is predeceased by her husband Joseph Mattia; son, Joseph Mattia; parents, Ernest & Mary (Corletta) Scuteri. She is survived by her children, David (Tina) Mattia, Mark (Traci) Mattia, & Nicole Mattia; grandchildren, Michael, Andrew, Harrison, Gwenneth, Dakota, Sierra, Austin, & Savannah Mattia, Cody & Andrew; sister, Barbara (Jack) Frederick; daughter-in-law, Denyel Mattia; several nieces, nephews, cousins & dear friends. Beverly grew up in Rochester, NY. She spoke fondly of her teenage years at St. Agnes, the fun had there with her cousins and friends and cherished the lifelong friendships that were born there. She married young and quickly started her family. During her years of employment, most of her positions were in the accounting or bookkeeping fields, though she often said that the only thing she ever wanted to be, was a Mom. She prided herself on having a well-kept home and had special decorations for every season and holiday. Beverly enjoyed gardening, cooking, entertaining, playing scrabble and other games, and loved dancing! More than anything else though, she was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and friends. Her later years brought many struggles, she will be greatly missed but we are brought comfort in knowing that she is now at peace. Beverly's funeral mass will be celebrated, Friday, February 10th, at 11 AM at Parish of the Holy Family, 4100 Lyell Rd. Immediately following Beverly will be laid to rest in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to the School of the Holy Childhood, 100 Groton Parkway, Rochester, NY 14623 in her memory.
