Resided in: Rochester, NY
Charles L. Hahn passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025. He is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Minnie Hahn, and his brother, Eugene. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Susanne, daughters Karyl (Gregory) Pizzari and Karin (Steve) Reszitnyk; grandchildren Michael (Ashley) Pizzari, Nicole (Thomas) Klaben II, Jessica Reszitnyk and Matthew Reszitnyk; great grandchildren Joseph, James, and Noah Pizzari, and Thomas Klaben III.
Charles proudly served in the Korean War as a forward observer in the Army’s 40th Infantry. Once stateside, he returned to Kodak Park where he worked for 40 years in the Roll Coating division as a pipefitter.
Charles kept busy after retirement, filling the time with bus trips that he and his wife took to every corner of the United States and mini driving vacations to the Adirondacks and the New England states. When at home, Charles enjoyed spending time working on projects around the house, running his elaborate model HO train setup, watching old westerns, and building birdhouses for family and friends. He was an active member of a Kodak retiree group serving as their treasurer for many years.
His greatest pleasure, however, was spending time with his family leaving them all with very special memories of their time together. Sometimes it was hard to tell who was the kid and who was the adult in the group! Whether in the role of husband, father, grandparent, or friend, he was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
Services were held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations can be made in Charles’s name to the Veterans Outreach Center, 447 South Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620.
