I only knew Cora as a customer or Parkleigh and her smiling face and cheerfulness always made me happy. I wasn’t able to attned the fund raiser but did send Cora a note. Now truly wished that I had been able to give this special person a hug. My thoughts go out to her family as she truly was such a good person
I’m so grateful that the JCC had their celebration for Cora a few weeks ago and that Ken and I got to hug Cora and chat with her. She looked so wonderful, so happy, so healthy. This is a terrible shock to all who knew and worked with her. May she continue on her journey bringing her light, kindness, and happiness. I truly believe that each step on the journey is a progressively better place. Love you, Cora.

I never met anyone with such a positive outlook, despite the health problems she had. I never even realized Cora had health issues until I received an email from Parkleigh about the fundraiser held at the Jewish Community Center for her. I still can’t believe we won’t see Cora’s beautiful, smiling face at the JCC CenterStage and Jewish Film Festival box offices this year. I am grateful to have known her and she will be greatly missed by so many.
To the Family of Cora Holliday ~ my deepest sympathy goes out to all of you. I am so sorry. I worked with Cora in the Reynolds Audio Visual Department at the Rochester Public Library back in the 1980’s. She had a wonderful laugh. I’m so glad I was able to attend the “Concert for Cora” benefit recently at the JCC and to interact with her, even briefly. She looked GLAMOROUS and was her usual gracious self. It was quite an event. I’m glad she got to see so many people show up in support for her. She will be sorely missed by the community.
I am so very sorry for your loss. Cora was one of the most upbeat people I have ever met. She was always a ray of sunshine, smiling and with a positive attitude. I had the pleasure of attending Nazareth Academy with both Cora and Letha. My sister Tina was in their Class of ’81 while I was in the Class of ’82. I love the Holliday sisters and my heart goes out to Letha and the rest of the family. Cora always seemed like an adult from the moment I met her, always in charge and always leading in some way. She had a great laugh where she needed to throw back her head because she just couldn’t contain it! 🙂 She was a grand lady, dependable, serious, yet oh so lively and full of Life and laughter. Cora didn’t waste a moment of her life on this Earth. She may have gone at a young age, but, oh, did she use her time here on Earth well. Well done my friend, may you rest now and shine down like sunshine on us all.
