  1. Our sincerest condolences to the family. We are truly heartbroken over the news of Dave’s passing. He was a friend to us but more like our family. He celebrated Holidays, Birthdays and Special Occasions with us. He traveled all over with us to support my daughter Baylei at her softball games. He never missed a game no matter how far. I pray that he left this earth knowing how much we loved him. Thankful for all the memories and laughs that we will always cherish. He will be missed.

  19. SO saddened to hear of Dave’s passing. I certainly do remember this feisty youngster when I was a 6th Grade teacher at Autumn Lane E.S. in Greece. The last time I saw him was at his daughter’s Monroe County Exceptional Senior Softball Game @ MCC,where I was chosen to throw out the 1st Pitch and he remembered me! Many condolences to family & friends alike. He lived life at its fullest and with gusto! Bravo,Dave

  20. My deepeest condolences to the Russell family. I knew Dave not just as the father of his children who I taught in grammar school, but also in playing against him and officiating his games. Both of those were the best of times. He was a great man of exceptional character and a fine example to his children. My heart hurts for all of you.

  21. Had the pleasure of enjoying Dave while he worked for FSI @ West Herr Ford Webster and then welcomed him onboard @ WestHerr . Dave talked Family ,Raiders PennState and sports my kinda guy .
Work was his Blessing from the Lord He could do it all What a great time we had . Family lean on the Lord for Comfort during this difficult time . Dave see you on the other side . Mel Rose

  22. Saddened by this news. I met Dave on the Greece Jet Pop Warner football team and later at Athena. We also played men’s hockey against each other at Lakeshore over the years and I fondly remember the physical play we engaged in against each other. It wasn’t personal just two guys who knew each other and were competing. Last time I saw Dave was last year, again playing against each other. I came over to their bench and we gave each other a big hug, then afterwards talked for quite awhile in the bar just catching up. It was easy to talk to Dave, nothing fake about him or his big personality. RIP buddy! I will be out of town but will have a beer in your honor…
