Madeline Kent Relation to Deceased: friend/childhood sister We grew up together as such close friends we virtually sisters. I just found out about your mom and saw that you have followed. I just saw you both not too long ago after such a long time. It was good to have that last time together where it felt like no time had past since we were kids and shared so many childhood memories. I know you will be in good hands and good company. My prayers and thought are with the whole Trim Family that was my second family for so many years. The butterfly emerges from its silken shell- Reborn, it arises, no longer bound to earth. Free at last, the butterfly glides to heights unknown before. So do our loved ones find a beautiful release as, earthbound no more, they leave our sight and joyfully rise to a garden of matchless beauty, a place of light and peace. -Evelyn Phillips
Laura Koster Relation to Deceased: Friend My First memory of Debbie is her finding me kissing a boy and her saying I am going to tell on you. I was so worried she was going to tell my parents but she did not she told his sister who beat me up for kissing him. When i recently ran into her she asked if I still talked to Richard. I couldnt remember how she knew about him then it hit me it was Debbie who told on me. We laughed about it. Those we love remain with us for love itself lives on, and cherished memories never fade because a loved one’s gone. Those we love can never be more than a thought apart, far as long as there is memory, they’ll live on in the heart.
JIMMY PEROTTI Relation to Deceased: FRIEND OF THE FAMILY ANOTHER DAY OF SADNESS A LOST OF ANOTHER FAMILY MEMBER Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow I am the diamond’s glint on snow, I am the sunlight on ripening grain, I am the gentle autumn’s rain. When you awaken in the morning’s hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die.
Edith McKlveen Relation to Deceased: Co-worker I met Debbie when I started working in the City of Rochester Parking and Municipal Code Violations office in February 2010. Because it took me a number of months to become completely familiar with my various tasks, I appreciated Debbie’s willingness to explain things to me and show me exactly what I had to do with certain types of work. I admired the fact that, in a hectic and stressful environment, she managed to keep her cool and work through each day in a consistent and careful manner. She rarely showed any strong emotion, but it was clear from things she said that she loved her daughter. Debbie struck me as someone who had strong and deep feelings about things in life but who wanted to protect those feelings. She was, I think, someone who could be easily overlooked by people who think life is all about being “out there” with feelings, with behavior, with appearance. But her life had great significance. She was a human being made by God. She loved, and she was loved. Quiet as she was, she had a place and a purpose in this world, and now that she is gone, there is a hole in the universe that cannot be filled. That is why her loss is so sad.
