Donald J. Saraniero, Jr. GREECE - May 21, 2019. Don is predeceased by his father, Donald J. Saraniero, Sr. He is sur­vived by his wife, Angel R. Saraniero; children, Laura Saraniero, Don­ald J. (fiancé Michelle Carone) Saraniero, III, Andrew (fiancé Devon Hutchinson) Saraniero, Colleen (Brenden) Feen­ley, Frank Saraniero Dominic Saraniero; mother, Marie Saraniero; siblings, Michael Saraniero, An­thony (Suzanne) Saraniero, Rene' Vinas Carolyn Saraniero; several nieces, nephews, cousins dear friends. Don's life story will be shared during his visita­tion at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (Be­tween 390 Long Pond Rd.), Thursday, May 23rd, 2-4 7-9 PM. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Friday, May 24th, 10 AM at Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Ave., his burial in Holy Sepulchre will immediately follow his Funeral Mass. Don was born May 29, 1959 in Brooklyn, NY. His parents, Donald Frances raised their 5 children in Babylon, NY on Long Island. During Don's childhood he enjoyed playing soccer basketball. Don had graduated from Brockport College with a degree in Liberal Arts. It was during this time that he began to fall in love with the Rochester community. His career started in food service. He became a chef and then eventually owned and operated DJ's Seafood Restaurant. His career change was a moving moment in Don's life. He decided to become an RN. He went back to Nassau Community College and graduated in 1996. While working he met Angel, on June 24th, 1998 they went out on their first date, they were engaged 6 months later, December 24, 1998. The two were later married, May 6, 2000. After the events of 911 happened, fate drew Don his family to Rochester in 2002. Don loved his family very much. He looked forward to family dinners, holidays, trips to Disney World and going on cruises. He enjoyed watching sports and was a diehard NY Mets NY Jets fan. Quieter times in his life had Don spending time afield hunting deer and reading Sci Fi Political Murder Mystery Novels. Don's music tastes included the likes of: Southern Rock, 70's music, Elton John, Pearl Jam, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Billy Joel, Frank Sinatra Dean Martin. While watching tv he enjoyed: Soprano's, Game of Thrones and Killing Eve. He will be remembered for his: lively nature, humble disposition, grounded, spirited personality, hardworking and funny personality. He will be missed by family friends.
