  1. We are so sorry for your loss. Sending all our love and support
    through this difficult time.
    Love,
    Your Shear Ego Family

  2. I met Don a long time ago. He was nine when he moved to the neighborhood from Shortsville. We spent a lot of time together. I even watched the moon landing with him back in 1969. We played often until I went off to school out of state. We talked a few months ago about getting together again. I feel really saddened that it never happened. Sorry old pal.

  3. As a fellow classmate and a reunion committee colleague, I will always remember how Don made everyone feel like a good friend that mattered. His friendliness was a gift and everyone thought of him as a great guy, He will truly be missed. My heart goes out to Maryann and Lauren.

  4. Don was very kind to me and made a point of coming up to me to say hello and shake my hand at our Oatka Club meetings when i didn
t know anyone when i first joined. I always appreciated his friendly demeanor. Rest in peace Don.

  5. I only knew Don through his amazing daughter, Lauren. She always has the best family stories, of which he’s so often featured. You can feel her connection and love for him in everyone. I’m so sorry for your loss. Peace and love.

  6. I worked with Don in sales at the Democrat & Chronicle and TimesUnion. We got teased a little about having the same last name. He was always smiling and had a great sense of humor. I think he retired not too long after I started.
I am very sorry for your loss. ❤️🙏

  7. I had the pleasure of caring for Don in the hospital and he was the most loving and kind man. He was always so appreciative of everything. I’m so sad to hear of his passing but I know he went peacefully. He was so loved with his family by his side. He will be missed!

  8. As I shared with my coworkers at the Catholic Courier where he once worked, Don was one of the most genuinely nice people I ever met. So sorry for his loss.

  9. Maryann and family our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Don was a great guy who always had a smile on his face and was a lot of fun to be around. Sorry we won’t be there for his celebration of life we are in Florida. We will be thinking of you all. RIP Don. Jim and Karen

  10. Dear Family, Don was a very good friend of my deceased son Ron. My heart aches with yours. Let’s believe they’ve reunited. Prayers to you all. Marlene Logory

  11. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Don was just such a great guy and was liked by everyone. He also was so easy to talk to about anything and everything and will surely be missed by everyone who knew him. RIP Donny.

  12. Mary Ann & Family,
So very sorry for you dear loss. Don was a wonderful person. Shared a lot of good memories with him since the 4th grade & at St. Lawrence.
Many Thoughts & Prayers to All, with Love ❤️

  13. Don, you will be missed by so many people, myself included. You always went out of your way to say hi to everyone you knew (and it seemed like everyone knew you), both when you started your day, and ended it. I love you for the person you were to me, and still are to me – a very, very nice guy. You made the world a much better place with your presence and caring attitude. Goodbye for now My Friend.
