As a person Donna’s goodness, generosity, and thoughtfulness was unsurpassable. Donna constantly thought of others and gave of herself. I feel so fortunate to have been one of those touched by her beauty at Holy Cross School.
Mrs. J was a true example of what it meant to live and love like Jesus. She had the kindest heart, and did so much for others. Growing up in the Holy Cross community, she was always present and helping. Volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House, helping her run a blood drive for The Red Cross, organizing our trip to NCYC, the summer softball league, and so much more. I was blessed to know her and learn from her, she was truly one of a kind. Sending all my love and prayers to the Jacobi family – may you find comfort knowing that she is with God.

From the playground to the front steps of our houses, walking to school, making Mayday baskets for our mothers, playing Barbie, showing me the way through Charlotte jr/sr high school, you have always been there. Celebrating each other‘s marriage, involved in each other‘s wedding, the births of our babies, 911 scares knowing that two of our daughters were close to the action, wedding showers, baby showers rain showers, going out to breakfast every week, keeping each other secrets, venting at the injustices of life, you have always been there.
Your family is very dear to me and my heart breaks for their sorrow. As promised, I will always watch out for mom.
With deep sorrow, I recognize that God needs you more. He knows the good ones when he sees them.
I truly believe we will see each other again. Please say hi to your dad, my husband, Mike and my parents. I love you all.

There were few people in my children’s lives that exuded as much love and light as Donna. Her youth ministry at Holy Cross taught a generation of young people that God loves them without conditions, a quality that she lived generously. May she rest peacefully in God’s arms, and may her family be comforted by the love of friends and family. God Bless.
I am so saddened to hear of Donna’s passing. My heart goes out to Ken, Tami, Aprilyn, Ginger and your beautiful families. Donna was a special lady with a big heart and love for all, especially her family. I have so many fond memories that I will cherish.
