Dorothy and I and my girls met through a mutual friend and “seatmate” at St.Helen’s Church…and the rest is history. We took and instant liking to each other and Dorothy became my adopted mother (my own died in 1981), my BFF, as well as my “partner in crime”. My girls went off to college, our mutual friends passed away, but “the Dot” and I continued on with our adventures. We loved going out to dinner and shopping after 5pm Saturday mass. We loved our lunches at Antoinetta’s and sometimes we’d let Ernie hang with us over pizza and of course card games! During the past few years one of our favorite rides was along Beach Ave after a hamburger at Schallers, gawking at all of the beautiful homes along the lake and straight to Abbott’s for ice cream. Mary, Michael, and Angela, thank-you for sharing your mom with me. Ernie and the girls were always so fond of her. I know she is at peace now, but I will miss her forever. Much love always, Paula

Dear cousins Mary, Mike, Angela and family, my sincerest condolences during this time. I am remembering times when we were all much younger and my grandmother would have Sunday dinners at her house just as your grandmother did too. Times when our Canadians relatives would visit. Cousin Dorthy was always there. She was a beautiful and strong woman who prevailed in her life some of those times were very hard for her. Her beautiful smile and kindness I will always remember. I love the picture you chose to put up. To me Dorthy was a saint here on our earth and is now free of the burdens she has had to endure. She is a saint in heaven resting with our Lord. May each one of you feel peace, support and comfort during this time. I send to you the positive power of strength and love, healing full of beautiful memories. There is no one quite like your own mom, she will always be with you. Remember there is no right or wrong way to grieve, take emotions moment by moment.
All my love to you all of you. Lisa
Mom, how much I will miss You. Your optimism and spirit for life will be missed by all the lives you touched. Christmas will not taste as sweet as with your cookies or Easter morning smell so warm while we toast the Easter Bread. Life will not be so bright without your light. You will be missed in so many ways. I Love You Mom
