  1. I usually struggle to find the right words to say to family members when a loved one has passed. Maybe there are no right words to say to Dorothy’s family and all of her countless friends! Dorothy was a force. You could not meet her without observing her style- in fashion, in humor, in her very presence! Her family meant everything to her- so beautifully represented in her video tribute. She was honest, she was kind, she was someone you could not easily forget. When she reconnected with Paul it could only be described as serendipitous. They complemented each other. There was no mistake that they truly belonged together. I feel honored to have known her. I know there were many waiting to welcome her …I can only imagine the joy she brought to them. She will be greatly missed by all those she left here on earth. RIP, Dorothy.

  2. May the peace that comes from the memories of love shared, comfort you in the days ahead! –

  4. Lisa —
I was saddened to come across the notice today. I enjoyed my acquaintance and time spent with both Dorothy and you while working at the Village at Unity. She was a pleasure to be of service to whenever the need was called for. May she rest in peace and enjoy the after life with family waiting to welcome her.

  5. Cindy & Lisa,
So saddened to learn of Dorothy’s passing. She always made me smile! I remember her stylish dressing at work. She certainly raised two very strong women! Hugs to you and the entire family.

  6. Dorothy, you will be so missed. 💔 Your humor, that laugh, the fun and love you shared! We are all blessed to have had you in our lives. RIP
Lisa, Matt, Charlie, Cindy, Vince we are so sorry for your loss. Keeping you in our hearts and prayers.
Love Sheri, Steve and all the Henderson family.

  7. Lisa and the Wolkonowski Family,

Lisa and I met at Excellus BCBS in 2005 and I was lucky to be Lisa’s neighbor at work. I remember many funny stories, nails tapping on the keyboard and I will always remember Lisa’s smile and laugh.

I also remember how fondly Lisa spoke of her Mother. While I don’t believe I ever met Dorothy, after reading what was provided, I sure would have liked to meet this amazing and interesting person and I am sure we would have ‘hit it off’. The ‘water cooler’ talk would have been beyond funny!

I send my sincerely sympathy to Lisa and the entire family here as I will be working a full day on Friday. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

For Dorothy: Go Bills! May they have the BEST season EVER!

  8. Lisa,
So very sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. I met her at St Mark’s and think I remember her being in the women’s group with my mom. I remember her always being so happy and cheerful!
May you rest in peace Dorothy. My condolences to your entire family.🙏🏻

  9. We loved having Dorothy as part of the family at The Village at Unity. Loved to see her smile everyday and all of her colorful necklaces. Thinking of your family.

  10. Aunt Dorothy,
You will be missed. You were always so much fun and Mom’s best friend. My girls always talk about your sense of style and your love of leopard prints.
I know my mother and all your loved ones were waiting for you in heaven.
    Love you Aunt Dorothy.
    Your niece Pam xoxo
