  1. Even when I know the angel was coming, even though I know he has come to accompany Doug to the Land of our Dreams, I find it hard to believe it true! A cheerleader for the reunion and especially the family, he will continue to stand smiling with encouragement for us in Heaven. God bless his journey home!

  2. We are just completely heartbroken over Doug’s passing. He was such a genuine and sincere soul. I wish we could’ve spent more time with him, We wish our sincere condolences to you and your girls and the rest of the family.

  3. We are saddened at the passing of Doug. He was always so friendly and kind. A true “good soul.” We send our condolences and prayers to all family and friends.

  4. I always loved visiting with Doug. Although we lived in the same neighborhood, we first met when I had a Taryn in my second grade class. Our kids were also friends. When we talked in Wegmans or around the neighborhood when walking, it was always so nice to catch up. My deepest sympathies and prayers to Jolene, Taryn, and Kendra.

  5. I did not know Doug for a long period of time but we connected in many ways. I enjoyed our morning talks and appreciated the sincere interest he showed toward me and my family. I miss him, he leaves an indelible mark on my heart and my soul. We shared our thoughts on love and kindness and how maybe that’s all that really matters in life. We are all better for knowing Doug. He will be in our memories forever, continue to walk with us in this life and be waiting for us to join him one day. RIP my friend.

  6. I am so saddened to see this news. I graduated from Lyndonville High School in 1999. He was my favorite, most remembered teacher. I still use a phase he used, “fair doesn’t always mean equal”. I spent all my studyhalls taking photos, being in the darkroom and helping with the year book. Such an amazing man. He will be greatly missed yet always in my happy high school memories. Thank you Mr Michalak.

  7. We are shocked and saddened to hear about Doug’s recent passing. He was a sincere, kind soul! His down-to-earth/easy-to-talk to nature will certainly be missed. He had a great way of connecting and communicating with people.

  8. It was an honor to know Doug, and to be a part of his family. He will be forever remembered with love and joy.
