Douglas M. McDade was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose life was defined by love, dedication, and passion for the things he held dear. Born in 1944, Doug proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1962 to 1966. His years of service instilled in him a strong sense of discipline, integrity, and commitment-values he carried throughout his life.

Following his time in the Navy, Doug embarked on a fulfilling 30-year career with Eastman Kodak. His hard work and loyalty to the company reflected his steadfast dedication to providing for his family and building a bright future for those he loved.

Beyond his professional achievements, Doug had a deep appreciation for life’s simple joys. An avid golfer, he found peace and camaraderie on the fairways, enjoying the game as much for the sport as for the friendships it fostered. His passion extended to the art of Bonsai tree gardening and Ikebana flower arranging, where his patience and creativity shone through. These hobbies reflected his love for nature and his ability to find beauty in the smallest details.

Above all, Doug’s greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted spouse, a loving father, and a doting grandfather who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments, offering unwavering support and encouragement.

Doug will be remembered as a kind, selfless man who always put his family first. His legacy of love, devotion, and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Though he may no longer walk beside us, his spirit remains forever present in the memories and love he left behind.
