March 15, 2013 at age 89. Edward is survived by his wife of 65 years, Florence, children; Gladys "Jiffy" (John) Naumann, and Michael Cone; sister, Barbara Eckert; 7 grandchildren: Timothy (Jeanette) Naumann, Melissa (Adam ) Wit, Jennifer (Ken) Swavely, Ben (Stephanie) Naumann, Sean Naumann, Rachel Cone, Ryan Cone; 7 great grandchildren: Mark (Chera) Pfeiffer, Joseph and Jackson Witz, Lillian and Ammon Swavely, Johnathan Naumann, Kara Cone; 4 great great grandchildren: Janea Pfeiffer, Asia Pfeiffer, Destiny Pfeiffer, Noel Pfeiffer; several nieces and nephews. Edward was a veteran of WW2 Army Air Corp., 32nd Degree Free and Accepted Mason , Charter member of Greece Volunteer Ambulance, American Legion 436, Civil Defense Motor Cycle Police, and Craft Master for the Cub Scouts. Edward's visitation is Tuesday 4-7:30 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between 390 Long Pond Rd), followed by his service. Interment at the convenience of the family. Edward served in NYS as Culver Rd Post Commander during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He also served as a member Civil Defense Cycle Police during the 1966 Rochester Riots and the Attica up rising. The high points for him on the G.V.A were the times he helped save a child who was choking and when he helped to deliver several babies. He was very involved at St George Episcopal Church until they moved the church to Hilton at which time he transferred to Church of the Ascension. Edward will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
