  1. Virginia (Donzella) Relation to Deceased: no I remember as a child going to my grandparents home on Gorham and Almira. There his Mom and Dad would visit with Edward. Fond memories, always nice visits. Later I again had the opportunity to meet both Edward and his wife, Susan at my cousin Joe Sereon’s home. This is the memories I have of Edward. May you as a family know that God has embraced Edward and family members that have predeceased him. The butterfly emerges from its silken shell- Reborn, it arises, no longer bound to earth. Free at last, the butterfly glides to heights unknown before. So do our loved ones find a beautiful release as, earthbound no more, they leave our sight and joyfully rise to a garden of matchless beauty, a place of light and peace. -Evelyn Phillips

  2. michael p powers Relation to Deceased: friend for 40 years I first met Ed shortly after my family moved to Greece, he & I walked to the same bus stop. We attended Cardinal Mooney high school. Ed was a tremendous artist, drummer,& held a black belt in karate. I was very honored when he & Sue asked me to be best man at their wedding. I will miss them both terribly for the rest of my life. My heartfelt condolences to the Johns family. May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of His hand. An Old Irish Blessing

  3. Karen G Lattierre Relation to Deceased: bowled together I knew Ed when we both worked at St. John Fisher College (I was there from 1978-1983). There was a SJFC bolwing league and I was on his team. I was not a very good bowler and Ed was very good! He was always very nice to me and patient with my “slow” ball. He showed me how to make sure I threw the bowling ball straight by bringing my thumb up to my nose as released the ball and followed through. It really works and I have tried to teach this to my kids.I have not seen Ed since I left Fisher, but I have many fond memories of bowling with him. He was a nice guy and I will always remember him fondly. My deepest sympathy to his family. Safely Home I am home in Heaven dear ones: Oh, so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light. All the pain and grief is over, every restless tossing passed I am now at peace forever, safely home in Heaven at last. Then you must not grieve so sorely, for I love you dearly still; try to look beyond earth shadows, Pray to trust our Father’s will There is work still waiting for you, so you must not idly stand: do it now, while life remaineth you shall rest in Jesus’ land When that work is all completed, He will gently call you Home; oh the rapture of that meeting, oh the joy to see you come!

  4. Alan Houser Relation to Deceased: Childhood friend We attended Our Lady of Mercy grammer school together. I’d often wodered what happened to Eddie, and others for that matter. I was really sorry to hear this news. My thoughts are with the family at this time. Safely Home I am home in Heaven dear ones: Oh, so happy and so bright!
