  6. What a tender and beautiful obit, Cindy. I learned so much that I didn’t know about one of my favorite Aunts, of all time. She was so special, and always made everyone feel that way, Love shined from her. Can you imagine what her reunion was like, hearing Arthur’s voice for the first time, both of them young again and vibrant — with everyone there from our wonderful Family who preceded her, too many names to list here, with the Music of the Spheres backdropping all, in the environment of pure Light…

I picked the accompanying photo of the Maine Coast, knowing how much she and Arthur loved and often visited there, with their love for lighthouses in play. I’ll miss my Aunt Jane dearly, Cindy, but ‘Heaven gained another great athlete this week, maybe even a touring Pro’. Paul

  8. My condolences Cindy. A wonderful and fascinating tribute outlining your mom’s life. I found it to be inspiring and a testament to your moms character.

  9. May God grant eternal rest to this very wonderful soul. Eleanor and Arthur were two of the first Deaf people I met here in Rochester and over the years I have come to know how deep, profound their faith. Early members of the Catholic Deaf and ICDA community here in Rochester, they paved the way for what would become Emmanuel Church of the Deaf. We are all truly better for having known Eleanor. At Emmanuel Church of the Deaf her passing will be noted and we will be praying for her and for all who mourn for her.
    God give you peace.

  10. I want to first thank her family for giving us the chance to have her with us.
I also feel it was cut too short.
She was amazing and funny she knew how to start off my morning.
Ill miss her ahhs and you caught me laughs and ill miss our highfives after she completed our meds.
I got attached easy and i thank you for giving me the chance

  11. I just have to share one last photo about my idol. She did genealogy BEFORE the computer age. All her documentation was TYPED ON A TYPEWRITER! I have hundreds of pages of her copies. Utterly amazing. Her information was obtained by WRITING LETTERS to town clerks, vital records offices, etc!!

  12. She brought history alive for me and is one of the reasons I majored in history in college. Loved our genealogy adventures and discoveries.

  13. My mother, Eleanor’s first cousin, was a significant contributor toward her family genealogy records. When she passed I was the recipient of her records of the Raymond Green side of the family…which I in turn passed on to Eleanor.
Throughout the past two decades, Eleanor kept me updated on relevant family information she had gathered. I shall miss these. She was a wonderful person.

    • I remember you Don. Beautiful words. I think you are in this family reunion picture!
