  1. Mommie
    Mom, Matriarch, My GoldenGal #1,
I Love You and I’m going to miss you so dearly, especially our Mother-Daughter talks, sharing meals together and staying up late at night watching TV shows together. I Thank God for Blessing You with 96 Earthly Years and I Thank God for the Privilege and Honor of being your Daughter for 75 of those wondrous years. No more sickness, no more pain in your body down here. Enjoy residing in your new eternal life mansion UP YONDER.
Ciao For Now Mom – Love you always, Gwen

  2. Big Ma, My Queen, My Love
My heart and mind is in disbelief that I even have to write this tribute for you. No words on paper could ever tell the love I have for you and the story of our lives together. My name, Tasia (Ta’ see ah) Lenise and affectionately, “Pooh” were gifted by you. Big Ma, You my Queen loved me before I ever hit this crazy world and have been my biggest and loudest supporter throughout my 58 years. So much so, I had to “decide” if and when I would share certain things with you because your heart would be so sensitive to anything you thought I might be going through. Providing a foundation of love, prayer, laughter, and being a lady were some of your other gifts to me. Cooking them big pots and sharing throughout our family and the Shelter Street Block was a staple of your DNA. Blessed to have them BIG old pots in my possession. You showed love to whomever was in your sphere. No judgement, no conditions, just pure love. Oh, yeah, you would let somebody know where you stood and even in those moments, love was at the forefront. You’ve been strong, feisty, bold, and courageous with what life showed you in 96 years. You never complained until your final days and that let me know the amount of pain you were enduring. May your rest be sweet and peaceful. I will love you forever and beyond this life. #ElizabethForever96.
With the heart you helped build, Love You More,
    Tasia “Pooh”
