October 24, 2014. Esther is predeceased by her husband, Robert Schultz. She is survived by her son Wayne (Kathy) Schultz; daughter, Elaine Luciano; grandsons, Rick (Terri) Luciano, Bill (Judy) Luciano, Ken (Fran) Luciano, Wayne II (Nicole) Schultz, Michael (Julie) Schultz; granddaughters, Mickey Brooks, Kim Ryan Heidi Luciano; 18 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; sister, Audrey Church many nieces nephews.
Esther's visitation will be Monday from 2-4 PM 7-9 PM. at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage lane (between 390 Long Pond Rd.) Her funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at St. Jude The Apostle Church at 11:30 AM, 4100 Lyell Rd. Interment at the convenience of the family.
Esther was born on June 26, 1917 and she grew up on the east side of Rochester on Fernwood Avenue. During her youth she attended School #25 and Washington High School. Esther married Robert Schultz at St. Andrews Church, the family describes their first meeting each other was "love at first sight." and they raised two children together, a son and a daughter. Through the years, Esther and Robert renewed their wedding vows many times and were married for 71 years. Esther worked in her home as a house wife and her family and grandchildren were very important to her.
Esther favorite holiday was Christmas and as her children grew up she liked to travel to Texas to visit her son Wayne. Some of Esther's favorite activities were, crocheting, knitting, fishing, camping and playing games of Chance. Esther enjoyed T.V. shows such as Wheel of Fortune, the Lawrence Welk Show and Walker Texas Ranger. She also loved listening to country music and liked to watch comedy and horror movies. Esther was also an animal lover and she enjoyed adopting caring for family pets. One fond memory that her family shared was that Esther liked to sing "I love you a bushel and a peck" to her grandchildren.
Esther was described to be a sweet, helpful and selfless person. She was also known as a compassionate individual and was seen as beautiful inside and out. Esther will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
