  1. Walter Steele Relation to Deceased: Son Dad – I your humor will be missed deeply. And yes my registration and inspection are up to date : )

  2. Theresa M Roeper Wilson Relation to Deceased: Grand daughter Grandpa- You were the one that taught us to eat an entire ho ho in one bite. You got down on the floor to play with us as kids and still did it with our kids. You picked fights with us just for fun, but you always let us all know that you loved us! I am going to miss your smile, your laugh, and your sense of humor. Give grandma kisses from us all! Love you Grandpa! Rest in peace. May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of His hand. An Old Irish Blessing

  3. Theresa DeLone Relation to Deceased: Friend I have known “Mr. Steele” for most of my life. Even as an adult, I never called him “Gene”! Our families celebrated birthdays, holidays, marriages, babies and graduations together. I will hold these memories near and dear to my heart. He was always the life of the party! I can still hear him saying “hello tiger” to my mom. No words can really ease in your the loss, just know that you are very close in my thoughts and prayers. May the peace which comes from the memories of your dad and grandfather, comfort you now and in the days ahead. Although it may seem impossible to see beyond your pain, May you look back to good memories to comfort and help you today May your heart and soul find peace and happiness. May the blessings of God be upon you, May peace always be within your soul, May its essence illuminate your heart, Now and forever more

  4. Teresa Roeper I enjoyed listening to your tales and absolutely adored your sense of humor. I love the fact that each time I saw you, you had the same infectious grin. Thanks for sharing your family with me. You will be missed.

  5. Susan Vallance Relation to Deceased: neice My Uncle Gene made me smile, made me laugh and was always one of the kindest to the kids. He may have been up late with the adults playing cards but he was the first one up pouring cereal, the first one to start a game of tag and the first one to tell you a joke. His laugh and great humor will be missed.

  6. Rebecca Fergen-Ramirez Relation to Deceased: Granddaughter Grandpa – You always brought a smile to my face even when I did not want to smile. You had a wonderful sense of humor and always kept the family going. I love and miss you deeply! The butterfly emerges from its silken shell- Reborn, it arises, no longer bound to earth. Free at last, the butterfly glides to heights unknown before. So do our loved ones find a beautiful release as, earthbound no more, they leave our sight and joyfully rise to a garden of matchless beauty, a place of light and peace. -Evelyn Phillips

  12. David Jermyn Relation to Deceased: Friend What I remember about Mr. Steele was how he would play football or hot box with us during our teen years. He and Walt would have discussions about the Tigars and Red Sox and he was always one step ahead of one of Walter’s wise cracks or jokes.

  13. Cheryl Brown To Walter, Judy and Family My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of sorrow. It never gets easy to deal with your loss, however you do learn to deal with it, then it gets better with time. I think no matter where you stray, That I shall go with you a way. Though you may wander sweeter lands, You will not forget my hands, Nor yet the way I held my head Nor the tremulous things I said. You will still see me, small and white And smiling, in the secret night, And feel my arms about you when The day comes fluttering back again. I think, no matter where you be, You’ll hold me in your memory And keep my image there without me, By telling later loves about me. Dorothy Parker

  14. Carol Steele-Quintilone Relation to Deceased: niece Uncle Gene was always the “fun uncle”. He’d get us kids all excited & then our parents would yell at us.
