Additional Information Fedora Vorrasi of Rochester, NY died Monday, July 30th in St. John's Home. Born on August 9, 1916 in St. Johnsville, NY to Renata (D'Onofrio) and Ferdinand Carboni , the family later moved to Rochester. Fedora and her two sisters Valda (Iacelli) and Elsie (Mueller) sang in the St. Brigid's Church choir as well as at numerous family gatherings. After her schooling, she worked as a seamstress for the Michael Stern Company and as a clerk for Wegman's Grocery. She married John Vorrasi in 1947 and had four children, John, Anne Marie (House), Rita (Dr. James DeLucia) and Fred (Darleen). Widowed by the sudden death of her husband in 1965, she maintained her family through hard work, determination and a strong Catholic faith which sustained her throughout her life. Fedora was an excellent cook and was especially noted for her delicious manicotti, her super rich brownies and her own versions of southern fried chicken and chicken cutlets. She loved to host family gatherings in her home and document them with photos and movies which are still cherished today. She doted on her grandchildren (Dr. Lisa DeLucia, Emily House, Carla DeLucia, Stephen House, Michael DeLucia and Victoria Vorrasi) who returned her love tenfold.
