I was one of Florence´s caretakers for around 4 months before her death. She was a wonderful, caring, loving woman who could make everybody in the room smile. I feel so great full to have gotten to know Florence and learn about her life and her story. I´m glad that she is in a better place with her husband whom she´d talk so fondly about.
Flossy, thank you for being a bright spot in my dads life the last few years he was with us. I enjoyed getting to know you . I wish I could have spent more time getting to know you. I valued listening to your stories. Especially the one about how you met your husband. I hope you are reunited with your husband and that Eddie and my father are having lunch somewhere with all the other “roll coaters”
My father was Florence’s brother, and, like my father, Florence was one of the sunniest people I ever knew. Especially the last few years, as we got to know each other as grownups, she was a wonderful role model, and a big part of my heart.
