  5. Uncle Bob, Rob, Amie and Rich: We are so sorry at the loss of our wonderful Aunt. Thank you for making her life comfortable and happy as it drew near to a close. We love you.

  6. You were noble, Florence. You were strong, consistent, as constant as the sun rising in the east and setting in the west….You were as beautiful as a shining star, and as steady as the moon………I was your decorator when I first came into your life…..You were battling the first cancer you had and you were weak. You asked me to help you decorate as you couldn’t do it….You were the only client in 24years who became a very close friend…..So I had about 13 years with you…… You were a fiery ball of beauty, brains, and strong strong convictions. And we shared our hardships and you were always ready to fight for me and I for you…..We shared something else, something funny……We found the funny, didn’t we……Remember walking backwards out of the restaurant? Or riding in your convertible with straw hats on, thinking we were movie stars……How about dropping anti depressants in people,s coffee so we could deal with them easier……..Oh yes dear friend, it is not over for you, as I told you, you are going on another adventure, soaring right now through the heavens, making it lighter and brighter, golden and pure…..Wait for me, I told you dearest girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. How do you even come close to describing the force that was Florence Giannavola? Strong, smart, sharing, caring and resilient is a good start. My experience with her was limited to the five years we worked together at L.A.Self Storage. Many people knew her longer and better but she made a real impact on my life and I am grateful for what time I had to get to know her. Florence was the boss, the best I ever had. She shared responsibilities as I hoped for and greatly aided my self esteem. I felt that what I thought mattered and made a difference. She made me be a better worker and person. She always was willing to hear about a problem and then try to help with useful advice. Florence’s physical stature may have been down right small but she would take on the biggest, toughest angry customer and either calm them down or make them see the light. She was firm but fair, constantly mindful of the other person’s concerns. Florence was capable; I could easily have imagined her running a fortune 500 company with skill and grace. Her soul, her heart and her spirit were disproportionately greater than her earthly frame. When I knew her she would on occasion talk of her family. She loved them very much. Her children: Rob, Amy and Richard gave her much joy and pride. It was also apparent that Florence cared deeply for her friends. I am honored to have had an opportunity to have experienced the energy she brought with her to everything she did. Florence Giannavola will be greatly missed by anyone who was graced to spend time with her.
