I worked with this wonderful man in the sixties at Chase Bank, dewey stone office. A very caring and kind supervisor. Many condolences to Frank’s family.
Dear Jen and Hunter
So sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. He was a real gentleman and a true professional in the hospitality industry. We were not able to attend his service or calling hours, because we are in Florida.
Condolences to your family- sending you all lots of light and love! Happy to make a donation to Hillside in his memory. May he live on in all that you and your family do. All my best, Steve.
Sending enormous amounts of love to Jen, Susan and Frank’s while family. I only got to spend one Thanksgiving with Frank, but in that short time I saw what an extraordinary, funny and kind guy he was!
Very sorry for your loss! Frank was always very nice to me and yes, I do remember his stories! your all in my prayers! The Strange thing is that Frank was next to my mother-in-law in the ICU. She lost her life there also but I know they are all waiting for us in heaven! God Bless!!!!!
Frank was a mainstay in the hospitality industry in Rochester for many years. He mentored and was kind to many neophytes and was counsel to those with years in the business.
He was a professional; knowledgeable of his product and of his clients’ needs.
Most of all, Frank was fun to be with. His work was important but not so much as to come between friends.
We will miss his smile, the stories and that unique laugh.
My sincerest condolences. May you be comforted by wonderful memories and times shared with your dad. I know it’s a tragic loss and he will be missed dearly, please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
As the Toledo Mud Hens radio/TV broadcaster and director of travel, I worked with Frank for years on housing our team when we came to play the Red Wings. Over the years we stayed at most of the properties listed in this obit because of Frank. After his retirement we got together every season, including last season (2016). He would e-mail me in advance of our trip to Rochester to make sure our “breakfast meeting” was on as usual. We never missed a season. As I start my 43rd season in baseball, it is very sad to realize that our annual get together last season was our last. My visits to Rochester will never again be the same.
Dear Jennifer,
Karin Van Duzer Mercendetti and I are friends in Virginia and I learned of your father’s passing through her Facebook page. I’m so sorry for your loss. Heartfelt condolences to you and your entire family during this difficult time. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Lori
When I entered into the bona fide visitor industry as a young executive with Canopy’s Restaurant School/EOC, Frank was one whom I considered an expert in his field. He was always available to answer a question and provide guidance to a very young VIC chair. I was very honored to be asked to host the fundraiser the VIC held for Frank and his family during the adoption of his daughter. He will be missed.
We are so sorry for your loss and the road you have ahead of you. We are firm believers in family and friends for love and support in these moments of loss. Your father sounded like an amazing man who loved, laughed and lived his life to the fullest. No better way to live.
We are thinking of you and your family during this sorrowful time.
I’m so saddened to hear of Frank’s passing, and extend my sincere sympathy to his family and his fiancé, MaryAnn.
I met Frank through the Rochester Press-Radio Club. He was always a hard worker, and large contributor to our projects, such as the Day of Champions dinner.
A wonderful, professional, personable man who will be missed by many.
