George J. DelVecchio Greece: November 5, 2019, at the age of 75. George is predeceased by his wife, Bettyann DelVecchio; parents, Frank Rose; nephew, Robert Benedict. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn (Ronnenberg) DelVecchio; children Frank (Jonathan) DelVecchio Kim (Steve) Hart, Andy (Shanna) Fraser, Molly Fraser Sara Fraser; grandchildren, Bryan, Eric, Carlie, Hailey, Andrea, Megan Max; sister, Madeline Benedict; father-in-law mother-in-law, Stanley Grace Ronnenberg; sisters-in-law brothers-in-law, Diane (Don) Agosta, Robert (Lois) Ronnenberg, Barbara Gammiero, Eric (Fran) Ronnenberg, Ralph Ronnenberg Carl (Kathy) Ronnenberg; niece nephew, Rosemarie Anthony Paratore; many loving family and friends. George's visitation will be held 4-6 PM on Friday, November 8th at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane, Rochester NY 14626. His Memorial Mass will be celebrated 9:30 am on Saturday at St. Lawrence Church, 1000 North Greece Rd. Inurnment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to West Central Kiwanis, 75 St. Elias Circle, Rochester NY 14626 in George's memory. George was born in Rochester, NY on January 20, 1944 to Rose and Frank DelVecchio. He grew up in the city with his younger sister, Madeline. During his teenage years, George helped his grandparents on Tuesdays and Thursdays by going to the public market before school to get produce for the store. He was a graduate of Aquinas High School. He then moved on to college where he earned his Bachelor Degree in Business Administration in 1965. George Bettyann Annechino were married in 1965 and together they created a loving family with two children, Franklin and Kimberly. George made friends everywhere he went He was often referred to as the "Salt of the Earth," always caring and giving his time and talents to others. Ask George for advice and his response often was, "Did you ask the right questions?" or "Is it logical?" He would guide you to make your own conclusion. While at Kodak Marketing Education Center, George built the Advanced Technology Division which paved the road for many high-tech products and service support. He was proud of his talented staff of Institutional Designers. During his time at Kodak, he tried twice to hire Carolyn Ronnenberg, the receptionist at Kodak. Carolyn turned down George's offers. Then, in 2002, George and Carolyn fell in love and married. They spent many summers at Cape Vincent with their beloved chocolate Labs, Otis and Maggie. George was a lifetime Kiwanis member and a member of Street Machines. He was an avid gun collector, hunter and fisherman. His greatest joy in life came from his family and his dogs. He was especially happy being at Cape Vincent, Otisberg North and his hunting camp, Otisberg South. Some of his favorite music was Merle Haggard, Marty Robbins and John Berry. George will be dearly missed by all who knew him and always lovingly remembered by his many friends and family.
