Uncle Hal, You have been in my life from the beginning. I still have the picture of my baptism with you and Aunt MaryJane. You are holding me and I looked so tiny in your arms. You have always been easy to talk to. I remember the time you had to come to my house to fix the window Steve broke. Murray and Sampson would not leave you alone. I am sure they learned many new words from you that day. You will be missed dearly by us. Love Michele and Steve
This is for my sister Mary Jane, my nephew Harry and my nieces, Patty and Bea. Your husband and father was a great man, you know that! He loved you all, you know that! Now he is in a wonderful place, he is young, breathing normally and visiting with family and friends and animals gone before him. Most of all he is looking down, helping you get along without him. Remember he will always be here in your hearts, you can always talk to him and if you listen carefully he will answer you! It will take you a long time, I know, but remember your family is here to help you in anyway. Just call on us we are here for you! Love you much, Pat and Aunt Pat
When I wrote the first one I made a mess What I remember first for some reason probably cause it always and still makes me laugh is Hal saying ” He/She is out to lunch” I never heard it before Hal came into our lives. Ok Hal I fixed that. Say hi to everyone we know in Heaven!
The first thing that comes to mind, I don’t know why, is he always said “He/She is out to lunch” I ndont heeard before and no matter how many times I hear it I laugh!
There are so many things i could say about Hal but i will just give you a few, why he was loved by me!
When my brother John died Hal put his ring on him, a ring that John really liked!
He lived next door to me and helped me when I was divorced, along with my sister.
He had a family that loved him and stood by him! He shared whatever he had! ( i never asked him but i don’t think he would have shared his hunting guns)
He took care of my mom when we were all working, everyday! He took care of my dad, and if you know my dad that wasn’t easy!
He was a very spe cial person, he was always special to me and i will miss him! I am sure i be back to tell you more! Love you Hal
Uncle Hal, Tony and I have been reminiscing about all the funny stories going all the way back to the Keys warehouse days. We never had to wonder what you were thinking or how you felt. You always told it like it was. I think that is what I loved most about you. You were always so good to me!!! I already miss hearing you in the background when I would call and talk to Aunt Mary Jane telling me that you loved me. I know that you did. I hope you are resting and breathing easier. Happy hunting. I will see you again but until then I love you. Mary
I WANT TO THANK YOU DAD, I DID IN LIFE AND NOW IN DEATH FOR MAKING ME THE PERSON I AM TODAY AND LETTING ME LEARN ALL I COULD FROM YOU OVER THE YEARS BY FOLLOWING YOU AND BEING YOUR LITTLE HELPER. I KNOW I WAS IN THE WAY ALOT BUT YOU NEVER MADE ME FEEL LIKE I WAS. I CHERISH ALL THE TIMES WE HAD TOGETHER GOOD OR BAD AND THERE WAS BOTH. YOU LET ME MAKE MY OWN MISTAKES AND WAS THERE TO CATCH ME WHEN I FELL. BUT MOST OF ALL YOU CAME TO LOVE MY HUSBAND TIM LIKE A SON. BECAUSE WE KNOW NO ONE WAS GOOD ENOUGH FOR DADDY’S LITTLE GIRL. YOU GREW TO LOVE HIM AND INTRODUCED HIM TO HUNTING AND MADE HIM THE HUNTER HE IS TODAY.
WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU SO MUCH.
BUT WE KNOW YOU WILL BE WAITING TO MEET US WHEN WE COME TO SEE YOU AGAIN.
I can remember so many times that Patti and I would call Dad Bruno to come and fix something at our house on Biscayne Drive. My favorite memory was when Patti and I wanted to wallpaper the kitchen. We picked out this wild black, white, and red wall paper. We thought it was killer at the time lol! Well the wall paper we picked out was for new construction only. Dad had to put all new walls up so we could have this wallpaper put up. After a few choice words and lots of Dad’s hard work, the kitchen turned out amazing! Dad really had a talent to fix just about everything. I will miss my trips to their house for dinner. Ma would always make sauce and Dad would always make sure I had a beer in the fridge. Dad, I hope you find a big buck to shoot, a plate of Ma’s pasta, and a bunch of winning scratch off tickets. Love ya….Wendy

DAD
OUR DAD WAS TAKEN FROM US,
AND WE WERE NOT PREPARED.
OUR DAD HAS MEANT THE WORLD TO US
AND NOW HE ISN’T THERE.
OUR LIVES HAVE BEEN TURNED UPSIDE DOWN
AND ALL WE WANT TO DO IS HIDE.
THE PAIN JUST SEEMS SO SEVERE
LIKE IT NEVER WILL SUBSIDE.
THE DAYS WILL GO ON WITHOUT OUR DAD
AND LIFE JUST SEEMS SO UNFAIR.
TEARS ARE ALWAYS RUNNING,
AND OUR HEARTS ARE ALWAYS BARE.
BUT EVEN THOUGH OUR DAD IS GONE
OUR MEMORIES OF HIM STILL LIVE ON.
HE’LL ALWAYS BE A PART OF US
WHICH SOME PEOPLE MAY NOT SEE,
FOR HE IS DEEP WITHIN OUR HEARTS
WHERE HE AND US WILL NEVER PART.
MY DAD MY HERO
