Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. I have never spent the time with “Herb” Hinds that I have always desired; but whenever I came to Webster for a visit, I would find him hastening to greet me with outstretched arms, a gleam in his eyes, and a million-dollar smile. His whole demeanor was always one of happiness, joy, tolerance, dignity and grace.
As I watched him interact with all members of his family, especially his grandchildren, the virtues most evident were his patience, understanding, love and sincerity without a trace of frustration, anger or lack of interest in their well-being. In all things and in his actions, one would realize, Herbert was truly a man of God.
May his life help to bring fuller knowledge of Thy love, O God. “May God, whose love embraces the whole family in heaven and earth, grant that your servant, having laid side the garment of mortality, may enter more and more into your presence and find therein the fullness of joy, through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Uncle Herbert would long be remembered for his compassion, his care for others, his good cheer and humor. Those who knew him well in this life reflect with gratitude for who he was and all that he did. He was a blessing to others. His faith in his Maker sustained him on his life’s journey. We may find comfort knowing that his readiness to meet his God speaks well of the contentment with which he left this life and the hope with which he embraced the next. He died well. Although he is no longer with us in the flesh, we are confident that his genius lives on. His children, grand children, and all who deeply mourn his death are in my prayers. Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. Tony.
Junior,
I am so sorry about the loss of your dad. I remember him with a constant smile and words of encouragement. Praying that God comforts you during this time of bereavement.

My sincerest condolences to my cousins, the children of Herbert Hinds ( uncle Charles to us his nieces and nephews).
Uncle Charles was that uncle we will always remember fondly because of his love for our mother , his sister Ivy. He was especially dear to her, and she recalls that when our father died, uncle Charles expressed his condolences but immediately impressed on her the fact that he she still had someone who loved her and cared for her (himself). Uncle Charles showed that love and care from even before our dad died 42 years ago, because our mum could expect his tangible Christmas gift every year from even before then.
For me, uncle Charles will be remembered as that uncle who shared his spiritual insights with me and he was always ready to give me advice on how I should approach life. Be it thinking positively, dealing with debt and many other things.
Uncle Charles, you will be missed, and you will continue to be loved.
.Sincere condolences to my dear cousins and their Children:. Margaret (Stan) Tate; Beverly (Elroy) Sutherland; Tyrone Hinds; Herbert (Amanda) Hinds jr; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
God be with you all at this sad time.
Love,
Shirley
My sincerest condolences to my cousins ( the children of Herbert Hinds ) ( uncle Charles). I am sure that he will be dearly missed. For us here in Barbados, we remember his kindness to us and especially to his sister Ivy ( our mother). He was dependable, loving and thoughtful. I will always remember his sense of humor and his ready advice. He was a very intelligent man with a quick wit.
I thank God for his life and for the way he touched ours individually and collectively.
