Howard passed away on April 29, 2019, at age 81. Howard was predeceased by his parents Walter J. Mae Julia (Hebbard) Sullivan. He is survived by his brother, Edward "Hap" Sullivan; sister, Karen Guck; nieces and nephews. Howie was a lifelong resident of Rochester, living for many years in the Charlotte area where he often could be found sitting by the river on nice summer days enjoying the lake breeze and watching the boats. Howie's life story will be shared during his visitation, Thursday, May 2nd, 11 AM - 1 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane, between 390 Long Pond Rd. Howard was born January 1, 1938 in Rochester, NY. His parents made their families home on California Dr. in Greece, NY. He was the oldest of three to include his brother Edward and sister Karen. Howard worked for many years at the LDR Char Pit mainly in the kitchen doing various food prep jobs. He loved everything about living and working in the Charlotte community. He would regularly spend time with friends watching the boats go by, going to the local restaurants, or getting an ice cream cone at Abbott's. He always looked forward to the Wednesday Night Wegman's Concerts by the Shore. Howard's love of the water actually found him not only boating but living aboard his boat for a few years. He found tranquility watching the sailboats go by or going for a cruise aboard the Harbor Town Belle.In years past Howard would spend countless hours fishing from the Charlotte Pier. Howard enjoyed watching Me TV. He knew the schedule for every show and he especially looked forward to watching the oldies to include: Gunsmoke, Mash, Bonanza, Gomer Pile, Perry Mason, Walker Texas Rangers. He certainly enjoyed the oldies but he was entertained by Jerry Springer Episodes as well. Howard will be remembered for: his friendliness, simple apporach to life, being helpful and a private person. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
