I met Howie many years ago at the Charlotte pier with his friend Mike Jenks. I love to walk on the pier and they often accompanied me on my walks. My spouse passed away in 2006. Whenever I was feeling down I knew I would find Howie and Mike at Charlotte Beach. We had great conversations and they always cheered me up. Howie was such a sweet guy. I loved talking to him. My friend Randy and I would see Howie at the Concerts at the Shore. I love to dance and Howie would always smile and wave to me on the dance floor. I will miss him very much!
