August 29, 2016. Pre-deceased by her husband, Philip J. Galletto and sister, Alice Fantauzzo. Survived by children, Philip (Patricia Weber) Galletto Jr., Ralph (Susan) Galletto, John (Sheila) Galletto, Carolyn (David) Savine, and Michael (AnnMarie) Galletto; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. To light a candle of remembrance, visit: aliferemembered.com Ida's visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9 PM on Thursday at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between Rte 390 & Long Pond Rd). Her funeral mass will be celebrated 9:30 AM on Friday at St. Theodore's Church in Gates. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the St. John's Home, Dementia Unit, 150 Highland Ave., Rochester, NY 14620 in Ida's memory. Ida was born in Rochester, NY to her parents John and Caroline Villareale. Their family grew to include Ida and her sister Alice. Ida met the love of her life, Phil Galletto through Phil's sister. They were later married at St. Francis of Assis Church. Their family grew to include 5 children, 14 grandchildren & 15 great-grandchildren. Ida will be remembered for being: competitive, generous, helpful, independent, having a sense of humor and also one who had a very good memory. Ida loved her family. She especially looked forward to lunch with her grandchildren at Red Lobster. Family gatherings during the Holiday's was also a special time for Ida. She enjoyed playing cards with her family and her competitive nature surely followed her during these friendly games. She enjoyed spending time in her yard and was very fond of her Rose bushes. Ida enjoyed playing games to include Bingo and Baco. She was an excellent baker. Her Banana Bread was excellent. This was exemplified in her awards that she won competing against others. Ida enjoyed watching TV. Some of her favorite shows included: Dancing with the Stars, Big Brother anything with skating involved, soap operas like Y, B and General Hospital. Her music taste was varied. She enjoyed Tony Bennett and the Three Tenners. She also enjoyed music not normally associated with someone her age. Those artists included: Lady Gaga, Celine Dion and Phil Collins. Ida was loved by many and she will be missed.
