James was born on July 1, 1954 and he grew up on Ravine Avenue in Rochester, NY. James discovered a love for cars during his youth and worked at Vic's Auto Parts. He graduated from Olympia High School and during this time he also managed a Minuteman gas station on Stone Road in the town of Greece. After high school, James worked at Delco in Rochester, NY where he later retired. James loved spending time with his family at the cottage where he felt it was his home away from home. James' favorite saying was "if we didn't have bad luck we wouldn't have any at all." He liked watching T.V. and his favorite shows involved some sort of comedy or had a western theme. He really enjoyed watching the Honeymooners, The Three Stooges as well as John Wayne and Clint Eastwood movies. James loved music, especially songs that told a story. His favorite artists were Bob Segar and Led Zeppelin. James was known to be selfless, regimented and a good friend. He was also described as easy to get along with and always had a good sense of humor. James will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all of his family and friends.
