I met Jim through golfing at Durand Eastman Men’s Golf Club. It turned out we both did lessons with the same instructor Dan Parks. In the months and years following we played many rounds of golf together, playing lessons, Local golf tournaments and shared many meals at functions for the golf club. Jim was a character, always a joy to be around, if you were hanging out with him you were having a good time and probably talking about golf! I feel so lucky to have known Jim and to have shared so many conversations, jokes and great times together. I’ll never forget his smile, his grit and determination or his kindness.
My friend for life for the last 42 years. Jimmy was that guy we all wanted to be… smart, good looking, well mannered, talented, unassuming, frugal, and he lived every moment in a big way. He treated us all like we were special to him. His love for Andrea and his family was clearly evident in everything he did. And his humorous demeanor and kidding sense brought such joy to everyone he touched in his life. Our golden retriever would immediately jump up on his lap, as he was the biggest animal lover of all. I will miss my dear friend Jimmy. Thank you for sharing your love and laughter with all of us. We will never forget you buddy. Our hearts break for Andrea and the entire Carlucci family.
Andrea, from the moment Dave and I met you two, so long ago, you were among my favorites of his friends at Wegmans. It was great fun getting together with you and I remember Jimmy’s sense of humor and how he would good naturedly tease you – and how you would roll your eyes! You were the sweetest couple and my heart hurts for your loss. I honor your many years together and sincerely hope that your beautiful memories are of great comfort to you now. Many blessings – Katy
Jim was one of my biggest mentors in life, both professionally and personally. He is one of the best troubleshooting minds I have ever seen. He had the innate ability to break down complex problems into simple, manageable pieces. The same could be said for his communication skills. He could explain complex problems in a way that anyone could understand. He definitely could have been a teacher. Jim took great pride in automating computer tasks and writing the least amount of code to accomplish it.
More importantly, he was a personal mentor to me. We had many lunchtime conversations about a wide array of subjects, and I always seemed to learn something. Of course, his quick wit and sense of humor were unparalleled. I have many Jim Carlucci one-liners that will provide smiles for a lifetime. Rest in peace, my friend. You will not be forgotten
We are devastated by Jim’s passing. Jim and Andrea were the best neighbors. When we met over 20 years ago, we could not believe our good luck to live next to such a loving couple. They were great role models of healthy family life.
Jim was a very helpful and resourceful neighbor. Whether it be cutting down overgrown pine trees, house repairs, or vehicle repairs, Jim’s advice and resourcefulness will often save the day.
Jim was an intellect – as a fellow Stoic-we would banter for hours. Doing our best to solve the worlds problems. Often I would nod my head in admiration of his excellent reasoning and beautiful mind. Jim is irreplaceable and will be sorely missed.
RIP Brother
The Baptiste family.
We are so sorry for the loss of Jimmy. I think the first time we meet is playing football at the church yard near big M. We were probably 12 years old playing with the big kids. I was the designated driver the night you two met. It has been wonderful being part of the neighborhood gang for over 40 years.
Andrea, I am so sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May Jim’s memory be a blessing to all who knew him. Marlene Nyiri
First, my deepest condolence to Andrea and family. I met Jim 5 years ago when he joined Churchville golf club. WHAT A GREAT MOMENT FOR OUR CLUB!! The moment I met JIM I knew he was a special person. We got to know each other over the years at the golf course WHERE ELSE!! I played many times with Jim and he never siezed to amaze me. THE way he played even not feeling well. Until the very end a true gentleman and great friend. Jim I will definitely miss you and always think of u like I have for quite awhile. May u R.I.P. my friend.
Jimmy was a childhood friend and we spent many a summer weekend at Keuka lake, growing up, laughing ,fishing and just being boys. Got to see him there again about 4 years ago. Such a nice guy and Friend . Will always hold those memories amongst my favorites. RIP Jimmy , thank you for all the fun. Warmly , Alex Mihajlov
Jimmy and I worked together for Wegmans back in the 80’s. We socialized outside of work, and our wives become good friends. Life changes and our lives took us in different directions, but those days working and hanging out together were some of the most enjoyable days I can recall. Jimmy, Noel and myself all had 5.0 litre Mustangs and loved our cars. I last saw him a few years ago at a happy hour with several Wegmans people who worked together. He looked great and was in great spirits. He was always patient and willing to explain and teach me things that helped me in my support role at that time. Rest easy Jimmy. Tear up the streets of Heaven in your Mustang
I first met Jim – when his wife – Andrea met him. It was a girls night out – in our youth – so many years ago. I think Jim was smitten! Although, I didn’t know Jim as well as I know his wife – I can say that It was always apparent to me – in so many ways – of all the gifts of himself – that Jim brought to their marriage – because I saw it in Andrea. Love – joy – happiness – security – faith in one another, trust and respect. It was always a pleasure to talk to Jim. He always made you feel at home and at ease – and oftentimes had a quick witted response and a sense of humor despite himself. In spending time with Jim and Andrea , you always felt that deep sense of affection and love that they had for each other. Until only recently, I discovered that Jim had a talent for drawing and sketching – as his beautiful artwork is so proudly displayed in his home. His ingenuity for building things (like the beautiful kitchen remodel for his wife – or the many handmade bird feeders placed outside the windows in their home) that brought such simple moments of peacefulness – to all who saw the many beautiful birds that came to feed. Jim will truly be missed , but It seems to me, as though knowing him, made the world a much better place to be.
Andrea so sorry to hear about Jim, always enjoyed being with you two at Lisa’s House – Jerry always enjoyed talking with him. May knowing he is no longer suffering bring you peace. Jerry and Lucille Monti
