I worked with Jim at the Eastman Kodak Co. in 1967. One day we discussed joining the United States Marine Corps. At lunch time we walked to downtown Rochester and we both enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. By July 1967 we were both in Paris Island, SC, then Camp Lejeune, NC for Marine Corps Recruit/Infantry Training. After that Jim and I split up, but we both ended up in Vietnam. I saw Jim twice after we got discharged from the Marines. Now it’s almost sixty years later. I remember him well. He was a great guy and an outstanding Marine. Semper Fi !!
Dear Sue and Family I just looked at the video again that was put together for Jim’s service and cried again . What a beautiful tribute to your family and to your love for each other through the years ! Hope to get together soon to share memories . Love June
Dear Sue and family, we are deeply saddened and are keeping you in our prayers. A memory that brings us smiles is the first time we saw James and Hatchi (golden retriever) cruising up the street…Hatchi jogging along side James driving his powered scooter, keeping right up, and James was moving right along, no Sunday driving! It was a site to see and you could tell BOTH were enjoying it. I remember thinking how cool is that, what a great idea and how smart Hatchi was to be able to do that with his human dad! Rest in peace my friend.

Sue, I am so sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. He was a wonderful man. I have so many memories of my conversations with him at BOCES. Heaven has another angel! You all have my thoughts and prayers.
