Peter Rich Relation to Deceased: Cousin Jim was a great guy. He was caring, friendly, always in a good mood, and treated all with respect. He always welcomed me and my family with open arms. He also taught me how to water ski. I must tell a great story. For years our family annually attended a Steelers vs. Brown football game. Because my wife Gail was expecting and unable to travel, I invited Jim to join our family on a Ohio weekend. We played touch football in the rain, drank beer, laughed a lot, and ate pizza. As Sunday’s game drawing to, the Steelers were about to score what proved to be the winning score. I told Jim that since were are seating in the Brown side of the field, please do not show any type of cheer if they score. Well Franco Harris scored and Jim screamed, threw his arms in the air and jumped with joy. A guy behind us yelled to seat down and cracked Jim in the head with an umbrella. He talked about the weekend all the time and what a great time he had. Jim – you will be missed. Love you Cousin. As we look back over time We find ourselves wondering ….. Did we remember to thank you enough For all you have done for us? For all the times you were by our sides To help and support us ….. To celebrate our successes To understand our problems And accept our defeats? Or for teaching us by your example, The value of hard work, good judgement, Courage and integrity? We wonder if we ever thanked you For the sacrifices you made. To let us have the very best? And for the simple things Like laughter, smiles and times we shared? If we have forgotten to show our Gratitude enough for all the things you did, We’re thanking you now. And we are hoping you knew all along, How much you meant to us.
Patty L Vanyo Relation to Deceased: Friend We all started our married lives at Indian Lake. Wonderful memories that seem like yesterday. I hope to see Jim and our other beloved souls again in Indian Lake Heaven. Love, Patty The butterfly emerges from its silken shell- Reborn, it arises, no longer bound to earth. Free at last, the butterfly glides to heights unknown before. So do our loved ones find a beautiful release as, earthbound no more, they leave our sight and joyfully rise to a garden of matchless beauty, a place of light and peace. -Evelyn Phillips
Jim Rich Relation to Deceased: Cousin We were so looking forward to getting reacquainted after all these years. I am so sad for you and pray God will give you strength in the days ahead. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Jim and I played a lot together growing up as kids. We were close in age. Where did the years go? Those we love remain with us for love itself lives on, and cherished memories never fade because a loved one’s gone. Those we love can never be more than a thought apart, far as long as there is memory, they’ll live on in the heart.
Dave Yonish Relation to Deceased: Friend Jim was the keyboard player in our band, and he later became my boss at Jandy Coal Company, Above all he was a true friend that I had lost touch with over the years and wish I would have been able to see him one more time. My heart goes out to his wife and family. He’ll truly be missed. The butterfly emerges from its silken shell- Reborn, it arises, no longer bound to earth. Free at last, the butterfly glides to heights unknown before. So do our loved ones find a beautiful release as, earthbound no more, they leave our sight and joyfully rise to a garden of matchless beauty, a place of light and peace. -Evelyn Phillips
