Nikki Sollinger Relation to Deceased: Surrogate Granddaughter Diane has been my Mother’s best friend for the last 18 years. They worked together at Arcadia Middle School, their desks were connected and they were always found having a good laugh at some of the things kids would say or what happened with her grand children. She also took my in as an adopted grandchild, because my own grandmother didn’t seem to care for me much. She taught me the unconditional love of a grandmother, she was also my daughter’s great-grandmother. She has seen me in the best and worst times of my life. I truly believe that God placed her in my mother’s path. They were able over the last years, share so many wonderful things and some very difficult things. When I hear my mom say good-bye, I hear Di, her little southern twang, when she says, “bye”, will always be Grandma Di’s influence! I love her and am so grateful that I was blessed enough to have known her for as long as I have. I am better for having known her and loved her! Good bye Grandma. I Love You May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of His hand. An Old Irish Blessing

Michelle told me recently how much she enjoyed going over to their house and that she always felt safe and Diane and Vince always made her feel special. Thank you for all you did for my childen Diane. You will fondly remembered always. As we look back over time We find ourselves wondering ….. Did we remember to thank you enough For all you have done for us? For all the times you were by our sides To help and support us ….. To celebrate our successes To understand our problems And accept our defeats? Or for teaching us by your example, The value of hard work, good judgement, Courage and integrity? We wonder if we ever thanked you For the sacrifices you made. To let us have the very best? And for the simple things Like laughter, smiles and times we shared? If we have forgotten to show our Gratitude enough for all the things you did, We’re thanking you now. And we are hoping you knew all along, How much you meant to us.
