Dear Witkop family, I do not know your family nor did I k now Jeffrey. However, my husband & I are so moved and touched by his obituary, we have never seen obituary like his . I never thought to use my death as a time to speak to others about salvation through Christ. I felt moved to write you. May we offer you our deepest condolences . Until we all meet together in heaven, God Bless
Incredible obituary….thank you Jeff…..you don’t know me…I just happened to be lucky enough to read the paper and your obituary….maybe God sent me there….what a remarkable man….I hope I see him sometime,,,,
Dear Dawn & family–I’m so sorry to hear about Jeff! He will be missed. I will always remember his wonderful smile and upbeat personality. We would always reconnect at the Wendt reunions. Hold tight your memories.
I was so sorry to hear that Jeff was ill and now his passsing. He was one of our neighborhood gang when we were kids. He was so smart and funny. I have lots of great childhood memories that include Jeff. Jeff and I were in Algebra class together. While I scraped by with a 74 (and was happy to have it) Jeff scored a 99. I also remember hanging out at his house with his mom Loraine and his dad Kenny. My heatfelt sympathy to his family and friends.
Although I never met Jeff, I read his obituary because the word “I” caught my eye. He wrote his own.. and when I read the beautiful words he wrote it made me think of my own father, Jeff, who last month at the age of 58 passed away from esophageal cancer. Someone told me right after he passed, “Don’t be sad, he knows what Jesus looks like, and we still wonder.” Although I miss him terribly, I found comfort in those words. All the pain and suffering he was going through was gone. His long fight was over. We are the ones suffering now.
To Jeffs family, I know there is nothing I or anyone else can say that will ease the pain you are feeling. But please know, you have so many brothers and sisters in Christ who morn with you and pray for strength for the days and weeks to come. May you feel Gods healing hands comfort you. In Christian love, Deena
Jeff & Dawn have always been a model of a completely shared life with each other and Jesus. As Jeff’s end approached, the fruit of such a completely intimate and unselfish way of loving showed its power. Jeff showed us all how a man of God passes to his eternal home. Dawn showed how a loving woman of God comforts and supports. What a beautiful witness.
Jeff was certainly a candle to many, always letting his light for Jesus shine no matter what he was going through. He will be missed. Holding you all up in prayer as you grieve his loss and celebrate his love.
Jeff and I met at Simon School, and quickly became study partners, taking many courses together. I will always remember Jeff’s smile, the intensity with which he approached all assignments, and the laughs we shared. Life brings tears, smiles and memories. The tears dry, the smile fades, but the memories live on forever. My deepest sympathy to Jeff’s family and friends.
I went to the Simon School with Jeff. He was a great guy. Jeff was very intelligent and hard working. We crossed paths many times at Kodak and Jeff was alwways very upbeat and positive. He will be sadly missed.
I give thanks and praise to our Father in Heaven for the wonderful gift he gave this world in Jeff. His smile, his gentle, tender, caring heart. His leadership as a husband, father, friend and brother in Christ has left an amazing impact on all of us who have been blessed by his presence. Job well done, good and faithful servant.
Dear Dee,Adam and Kristin,Words can’t express how shocked and saddened we were to learn about Jeff’s passing. He was such a great person-so kind and caring. And his smile-full of joy always.May your faith and the love and support of family and friends hold you tight. God bless you.
I remember Jeff’s first day at Kodak and remembering how impressed I was with his enthusiasm. Later I found out we were related through marriage. I was happy to be part of the team that hired him and proud of the career that he established at Kodak and even prouder to be related to him. We will miss him tremendously. May God wrap His arms around his family at this time of grief and guide them through these difficult times.

Jeff was a great director for me to work for at Kodak many many years ago. I send prayers that he and his family find peace.
