Joan Louise Van Velson Greece, NY - Monday, October 15, 2018, age 86. Predeceased by parents Earl and Lillian Sprague; siblings, Ann Maas (Al), Earl J. Sprague (Annie), Marion Scott/Stockmaster (Bob), and husband Charles W. Van Velson. Survived by daughters, Ellen Osborn (Dan) and Kathryn Henderlong (Steve), and son, Keith Van Velson of Arizona; grandchildren, Alexandra Payne (Art), Makenna Osborn, Gannon Osborn and Casey Henderlong; as well as several nieces and nephews. Joan was an avid golfer and reader, and a passionate bridge player. She was a longtime advertising representative at the Greece Pennysaver. She was also an active member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, and a volunteer at Unity Hospital and Greece Community Center. Joan was a member of Lake Shore Country Club for 25 years.
