My deepest condolences. While I know Jack’s passing is particularly hard on my Dad, Jack literally has been in my life from listening to him on WBBF as a child (hoping to hear him announce Greece schools closed during winter storms) to all the time Jack and Joyce spent with my parents or just having breakfast after church. He will be dearly missed.
John, Jill, and Joyce;
Sorry to hear Jack passed. The last time we connected was in line at ATL airport. I had a chance to hug Jack while Joyce smiled & clapped. I am proud to be a part of his history working for 13 years at WVOR/WHAM. We had the best of times broadcasting from the 17’th floor of midtown. ❤️ Dave
I’m saddened to learn of the passing of my lifelong friend and colleague, ‘Smilin’ Jack.
We were friends at Aquinas in the late ’40’s; a friendship that continued at St. John Fisher College, Jack in the class of 1955, and I in the class of 1956.
We were hired together as ‘Disc Jockeys’ at WGVA in Geneva in 1959, spending every day on the air as a team. I could go on but suffice to say he’ll be missed.
My condolence and prayers to Joyce and the rest of his family.
Jack, I have such fond memories of our great times together!

He was my idol. He was my mentor. He was one of my dearest friends.
Color me sad and so grateful that Jack Palvino was such an important part of our community and my life.
So wish we could do one more ROCHESTER RADIO ROADSHOW.
