Condolences to the family and prayers for strength during this challenging time. John was a good Police Officer and great Brother Officer. God Bless John and rest in peace!!!!
I remember John over our careers in RPD. John was always a gentleman, and fair minded to all he came in contact with. My thoughts and prayers are with the Carpino family at this time, with a hope that all those that have been touched by John’s presence, will be blessed with a wealth of good memories.
My deepest sympathy to John’s family and friends. I worked with John in the former Atlantic Section of the Rochester Police Department. John was a great guy and a good police officer. May he Rest In Peace and may family and friends take comfort in knowing he is in good hands.
So very sorry for your loss. I played volleyball with John in the law enforcement league, now many moons ago. I found him to be a wonderful human being. I know you will find strength in the memories you have.
John was one of the Officers who “broke me in” before the RPD had a formal FTO program. He was an intelligent, even tempered highly motivated Police Officer, just the kind of cop a young officer could learn a lot from. It was a pleasure to work with him and learn from him back in the old Unit B days before the RPD divided up into Patrol Sections and many of us went to different Sections. My Condolences to the Carpino Family on your loss and, in fact, the whole community’s loss. Gary Birkahn, RPD, Retired.
My condolences to all the family. I worked many years with John and he was a great man and excellent Police Officer. I worked at Ginna with his son who was a tribute to him and an excellent father. I’m sure John will be missed by A large amount of people.
Steve and Chante, I was so sad to hear of your Dad (Steve). My thoughts are will all of you. May the memories you have help heal your heart. Amy
