So very sorry for your loss. I worked with John at Eastman Kodak Co. John was one of the good guys. I remember one time when John and I were sent to Atlanta GA for two weeks for training. On the weekend we rented a car and drove to South Catalina to vist my sister-in-law. It was a very fun trip and I think of John often. Rest In Peace my friend.
I met John when I was a secretary at Athena Middle School and High School. John was a gentleman and a man with so many positive and genuine qualities which he shared with the students at Athena. I enjoyed when he stopped by the office to chat about life, politics, kids, sports, family. When he was sick, he never complained – always had a smile on his face and a positive attitude. He loved his family so much and would just beam when he talked about his grandkids. At this Thanksgiving time, I am grateful to have know this wonderful man. My sympathies to his family-may your happy memories keep you strong. Jeanne Attridge
Steve and I want to send our sincerest condolences on your husbands passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this most difficult time.
Sue, Melissa and Jeff
I am very sorry for your loss, John was loved by all. His positive attitude and love for his family showed in every aspect of his life. He will be remembered with warm thoughts. I know your family will continue to feel his presence in your lives and his love in your hearts. I will keep you all in my prayers as you go through this difficult time. Stay strong and happy as that is what John would want for all of you.
Sorry to hear the news of my neighbor, John, he was a great man. I very much enjoyed our occasional talks. I would tell him all the time that his yard looked great, he appreciated the compliments. He would ask about my son, then I would ask him how he was feeling, he would tell me he was doing ok, never complained. He mentioned often about having a cold beer, we only were able to do that once in my garage but it was a couple beers and we talked about everything.
I will miss our talks and seeing you out in the yard.
RIP my friend John.
During this time of sorrow, we remember how special John was to his family and friends. We will never forget how he loved to actively engage anyone who would join him in discussing current events or life in general. What wonderful memories we have of family picnics and get togethers over the years. His grin and laughter will live on in all our hearts. Our love and deepest sympathies to Sue, Jeff & Lisa, Melissa & Charlie, the grandchildren, and all the family.
Donna Willison My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time…may you find comfort in the legacy he has left…strong work ethic, devoted husband, beloved father…and fun-loving grandfather…and endearing son, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle…and a great friend.
John made me laugh everyday with his silly jokes and inspired me with his strength and words of wisdom. My prayers are with your family and my joy is in knowing that John can now share his light in heaven.
Very difficult to lose a friend but when that friend is as nice a guy as John Boy it makes you wonder why. I guess the good lord needed a P-Burg farmer that new how to grow a short story into a long story. You will be missed my friend but never forgotten. George
Our hearts are broken for the loss of John. Wishing you comfort and peace during this difficult time. May his memories fill your heart and may his legacy live on forever.
