John Wilkosz entered into the Kingdom of the Lord on April 19, 2026 at Strong Memorial Hospital at the age of 79 with his loving sons by his side after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.   He was born on March 1, 1947 in Batavia, NY to Frances and Leo Wilkosz.  John graduated as a mechanical engineer from R.I.T. in 1975 and will forever be remembered for his years of service to the U.S. Air Force as a radar technician as well as at Kodak and L3Harris Technologies.  After retirement, he continued working as a “ski technician” at the Ski Company loving nothing more than to fit the people he loved to enjoy the slopes.

John enjoyed skiing, playing golf, strumming his guitar, and collecting vintage race cars and watches.  His first true love of over 50 years was his black 1968 Corvette.

He is predeceased by his parents; Leo & Frances; father and mother-in law Constantinus and Maria Blaakman.  John is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Anne; sons Jason & Michael (Melissa); grandchildren Zoe, Leo, Matthew, Alexander, and Isabella; sister Marianne and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.  His grandchildren will fondly forever refer to him as Gump and Papa.
