It saddens me and the rest of the family that we were not able to attend his viewing. These are strange times we are living through. Please know that my parents, Marge and Pabs, made sure cousin Johnny Bowers and Mary Jane were in our life.
As a child I would see Johnny when visiting his mother on Parkway with my Grandmother and his father would take me through the garden. I was fortunate enough to have worked in Tool and Die would see Johnny frequently when he was working for Joe at Acro. I would also him frequently at Wegman’s as recently as perhaps last year.
He was always upbeat and happy to see me and we would always share memories. He had great stories of my parents. He would remind me not to forget him at Christmas time if I was making Tarralli or Tarrottes as we called them . I would see him yearly to give him them for sure.
The world lost a good man and a great person. If I were able to attend John, I would have left you a Tarrotte for the road.
Papa John thank you for being part of the Raimondi family life. You always took the time to tell your stories and ask how we were all doing. You will be missed. You were loved. Your family was your priority
