After retuning from a vacation out of the country a few days ago, we sadly noticed that we had lost another old-time friend, John. Otherwise, I would definitely have attended during the visitation hours to give Lucille and family my personal condolences. John and I were in the same bay of engineers for a long time, and I always respected his integrity, knowledge, ability, and dealings with others. John had a good sense of humor and played a great on-going trick on me that lasted for months once I departed the R&E Organization. Further, I happily played on the softball team John managed for several years. We were known as “The Clowns”, and that we were.
Lucille, I’m sure you will miss John terribly, but there are those of us who will sincerely miss him as well. I am richer for having known him.
To the family of John Ventura. I worked and knew John at Kodak. As a young engineer it was great to have worked by his side and to have his years of experience at my side. In working with John there never a task was a task without an answer or solution. In those early years or my work at Kodak, it was also wonderful to see John on a Sunday morning with his family for Breakfast Brunch at the Big Boy in front of the Greece Town Mall. John, by his presence knew how to start a conversation and brighten the day. My deepest condolences to the whole Ventura family, I am soory that I missed the caling hours and I hold all of you in my thoughts and prayers.
