It is with sadness that I comment on Joe’s passing.
He should have lived well beyond 64 years.
I knew him when life was simple and love was pure.
He was my first kiss in 8th grade at a party after graduation from St John’s.
He gave me his high school ring after my Junior prom and I gave him mine. He wore my ring on his little finger.
He wore a light blue tux jacket to match my gown.
Joe called Wednesday “Lori Day” because he got to see me on Wednesday nights.
We both knew every Neil Diamond song by heart and would sing
them over and over,, as we road in his Mercury Capri.
He wrote this poem for his Jr year English class and named it “Lori”
Enchanting is the shine in her eyes.
Experiencing their gaze is beholding the universe.
They are a mirror of her vitality, vivid yet subtle.
The melodic notes of her voice resound in my ears
Making my head swim in the echo of her loveliness.
Without her life is void, empty of felling
In her presence all is joy happiness and love
Joe was my boss at NES on Long Pond Rd. He taught me more than anyone will ever know. I get credit to this day for the jewels he gave me. Joe knew how to make you feel welcomed and he always had a positive outlook. I really appreciate him and I’m going to miss him. My condolences to Petey and family.
RIP Giuseppe. One of the nicest and funniest guys I ever met — inherited his dad’s sense of humor. Sincerest to his family and the kids. He’ll be dearly missed!
Dear Andy, Roseann, Stephen and Immediate Family Members,
My deepest condolences on Joe’s passing. My memory of Joe was taking your Mom to visit him at St. John’s Home while he was having Physcial & Occupational therapy, she was so encouraged with his progress and was his biggest cheerleader. We then visited him when he was transferred to the Jewish Home. May your family find comfort with each other during this difficult time.

This is the Joe I knew and wish to remember.
