  1. Toni Ann Abbruzese Relation to Deceased: Niece Aunt Carol & Family – I am thinking of you and sending you lots of hugs and kisses. I can’t think of a time when I didn’t see a smile on Uncle Bert’s face. He always made me feel like the prettiest girl in the world. He had a wonderful vibe that made me feel like I’d seen him yesterday even though we didn’t get to see each other nearly enough. I know he is looking down on us with the same smile I’ll always remember. Love you Toni Ann The butterfly emerges from its silken shell- Reborn, it arises, no longer bound to earth. Free at last, the butterfly glides to heights unknown before. So do our loved ones find a beautiful release as, earthbound no more, they leave our sight and joyfully rise to a garden of matchless beauty, a place of light and peace. -Evelyn Phillips

I see him with his Kodak camera, making a funny remark and getting Memere to laugh on one of the many occassions you visited CT. There is this picture in my head, Janine, of those wonderful days at Memere and Pepere’s house where we would put on a show in the basement and make all the aunts/uncles watch. For all the times you were by our sides To help and support us ….. To celebrate our successes To understand our problems And accept our defeats? Or for teaching us by your example, The value of hard work, good judgement, Courage and integrity? We wonder if we ever thanked you For the sacrifices you made. To let us have the very best?
