Joyce is survived by her husband, Mark Coogan; children , Sheila Stanton, Kevin (Tammy) Werth , Donald (Kathryn) Werth, Jackie (Adam) Sutherland; grandchildren, Jeffrey Sodeman, Adam Sutherland, Jennifer Hoff, Toni Sutherland, Lizzy Werth, Joey Werth, John Werth; great-grandchild, Jayden Hoff; brothers, Patrick (Elizabeth) Cammilleri, Leonard (Catherine) Cammilleri; sisters, Brenda Cammilleri, Loraine (Mark) Humphreys; sister-in-law, Diane Coogan; brother In-law, Dennis (Gisela) Coogan ; several aunts, uncles, nieces , nephews and cousins.
Services
Calling hours will be Friday 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Ln (between Rte 390 Long Pond Rd). Joyce's funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday at 9 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church of Greece, 2400 W. Ridge Rd. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Additional Information
Joyce grew up in the St. Anthony/Holy Apostles neighborhood. She had a career in retail, sales, and financial with Beneficial.
She met her husband Mark in 1980 at Domm Brothers Bowling Alley and in 1981 she married him in a ceremony at his home. She also had 4 wonderful children and she remained dedicated and passionate about them, as well as her grandchildren, throughout the years. Family was always her greatest enjoyment in life.
Over the years, she always liked holidays, parties, Christmas Eve, and family reunions. Her hobbies included going to the casino, shopping, cooking, Facebook games, doing the Crossroad puzzle, and gardening. She loved to read all books, and watch television, especially enjoying Everybody Loves Raymond and The Golden Girls. She always used to say "hello, my love".
Family and friends would best describe Joyce as strong-willed, the matriarch, organized, and was always called "Little Rosie".
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
