Jaufmann, Karoline Greece: June 13, 2016. Karoline is predeceased by her husband Jakob Jaufmann. She is survived by her children, Paty Cox Errol (Diane) Jaufmann; grandchildren, Aliza David, Joshua (Melissa) Jaufmann, Abby Jaufmann, Cassie Jaufmann, Jack Jaufmann, Zachary Cox, Kara Lynn Cox. Karoline was born on December 20, 1926 in Germany to Jakob Louisa Bohlander. She married Jakob Jaufmann in Germany and then moved to the United States in 1954. Karoline grew up on Charlotte Street in the city of Rochester and then moved to the town of Greece where she resided for 60 years. During her adult hood, Karoline and Jakob had 2 children, Paty and Errol and she worked as a sandwich cook at the former McCurdy's department store in Greece, NY. Karoline was very dedicated to her family and was known to be loving, caring and very generous. She liked to be routine and enjoyed holidays with her family, especially Easter. Karoline was a great baker as her family enjoyed the napoleon cake she would make as well as her German potato salad. She also loved German music, liked to dance, garden and watch Jeopardy on T.V. Karoline was described as a vibrant, independent and feisty woman with a strong will and infectious smile. She was sweet, traditional, meticulous and enjoyed the simple things in life. Karoline will always be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by many family and friends. Karoline's visitation will be Friday 4-8 PM, at the Funeral Home, 1411 Vintage Lane (Between 390 Long Pond Rd.). Karoline's Entombment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hildebrandt Hospice Center, 2652 Ridgeway Ave., Rochester, NY 14626 in her memory.
