Kathy was born at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, NY. Kathy grew up in Greece, NY where she resided her entire life. As a child she enjoyed playing softball, kickball, swimming, sleigh riding, and playing school. Growing up Kathy always organized events (such as neighborhood fairs and parades) and always had a lot of close friends. She loved spending summers at Conesus Lake.
Kathy graduated from Nazareth Academy High School in June of 1978. There she was very active in student government and ski club. Kathy was very outgoing and loved to socialize. After high school she received an associate degree in business from Alfred State and then bachelor's degrees at SUNY Brockport in Criminal Justice.
Kathy was fortunate to stay at home with her children when they were younger and often volunteered in their classrooms. After her husband died on 11/19/2005, Kathy went back to school to get a second bachelor's degree in English from SUNY Brockport and a master's degree in Special Education from St. John Fisher College. Kathy worked for the Northwest YMCA for 20 years and was a Special Education Teacher at Odyssey Academy.

Kathy loved going to the Adirondack Mountains. She especially loved family vacations to Old Forge - and renting the "scary blue house" on fourth lake. Kathy also loved Disney World and her favorite ride was the Carousel of Progress. The kids would often tell her the ride was broken just so they would not have to go on it! Sunday Family Dinners were also a key part of Kathy's life and will continue in her memory. Kathy also loved Christmas, setting up her Christmas village and hosting Christmas Eve.
Kathy loved to hike, dance, play softball and kickball. She loved as well to be on the water, boating, swimming and walking the beach. Kathy has so many dear friends that she loved to socialize with including dinners/drinks, concerts, and various fundraising events. Kathy especially liked to spend time with her three children. Kathy loved watching sunsets from her home on Lake Ontario.
Her favorite football team is the Buffalo Bills. She was an avid reader and loved country music and Frank Sinatra. She loved to dance especially to NY, NY!
Kathy had an infectious smile. She lit up the room when she entered and instantly made everyone feel like they were her best friend. She was outgoing, fun loving and truly beautiful inside and out. Five words to describe Kathy: Strong, Loving, Outgoing, hardworking, and courageous.
