  1. Kayla was such a wonderful special friend to me especially during our college years. She always brought a smile to my face and was always positive even though electrical engineering was difficult. I’m very thankful for her friendship. Although we lost touch over the years when I saw her at church in 2023 it was like no time had been lost. She was just as beautiful inside and out as she always had been. I will see her one day in heaven. Love, condolences and my prayers are with her family. God bless you Shalon Simmons

  3. My prayers, condolences and deepest sympathies to the family. Kayla was a volunteer at the Wilmot Cancer Center. Her kindness, humbleness, and dedication will always be remembered because it’s what she displayed to our patients. Kayla’s unwavering faith was such an inspiration to me and so many others. She will be missed by all who knew her. Peace and blessings be unto the family. Until we meet again Kayla.

  4. With deepest sympathy –
From, Pastor Cooper and the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Family

  5. To the sons, family, and friends of Kayla, May the comfort of Jesus Christ and the beautiful memories of Kayla provide you with peace, now and forever –
With love, Tabitha Brown and the Brown family

  6. May the light of Kayla be with our family now and forever –
    The Syas family

  7. Sending prayers to the Holman family, who I have known since kindergarten. May God give you peace in this time of mourning –
Love you all, Keith and Tiffany Jones

  8. Kayla and I were good friends in high school. We ran cross country together, and she was always a bright light, full of laughter. Kayla was incredibly intelligent and such a kind friend. It was a joy to have her as my cross-country teammate, running beside or behind her. Seeing Kayla at our 40th reunion was a pleasure. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. Rest in peace.

  9. I am so sorry to hear the news of Kayla’s passing. We were friends in high school and worked on the school newspaper together, the Hornet Voice. She was smart, kind, funny, thoughtful and sincere. I was so happy to see her this fall at our last reunion. I shall think of her fondly and often.

  10. My wonderful beautiful sister that is now an angel. I will certainly miss our sister trips that we enjoy so often together.

Until we meet again my love.
