  1. Steve D. Nowak Relation to Deceased: Co-Worker May God be with you in heaven. I knew Kenny as a hard ass. But when you got to know him as one of the BEST Sgts. the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department had. He was tough,kind,compassionate to all. He will be sadly missed by myself who was taught by the best, we all love you from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department and may you rest in peace. The butterfly emerges from its silken shell- Reborn, it arises, no longer bound to earth. Free at last, the butterfly glides to heights unknown before. So do our loved ones find a beautiful release as, earthbound no more, they leave our sight and joyfully rise to a garden of matchless beauty, a place of light and peace. -Evelyn Phillips

  7. GARY MUHLEISEN Relation to Deceased: FRIEND I HAD THE DISTINCT PLEASURE OF WORKING WITH KEN BROOKS WHILE I WAS EMPLOYED AS A GENERAL MANAGER FOR A LOCAL PROTECTIVE SERVICE. I LOVED WORKING WITH KEN AS HE WAS ALWAS JOVIAL, PROFESSIONAL AND SIMPLY PUT, A WONDERFUL GUY. I REMEMBER TAKING MYM KIDS FISHING WITH KEN. MY BOYS ALWAS CALLED HIM THE CANDY MAN BECAUSE WHENEVER KENNY CAME BY HE GAVE THE KIDS A PIECE OF CANDY. OUR FAMILY WILL ALWAYS HAVE FOND MEMORIES OF SGT. KENNETH BROOKS.

Gary Arnone Relation to Deceased: Friend & Co worker Ken was a great boss,I must admit when i joined the sheriffs dept in 1983, i was scared to death of kenny! as i got to know him,he was a big teddy bear.he was a caring person and friend! i would always see him at the gas station buying lottery tickets,as i was doing the same. we always joked with each other that we were going to hit it big! well in my eyes ken you hit the mega millions jackpot! there is not a doubt in my mind that you are with our Lord Jesus Christ! Im going to miss ya my friend! may God bless the Brooks family! and i am sorry for your loss! Safely Home I am home in Heaven dear ones: Oh, so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light. All the pain and grief is over, every restless tossing passed I am now at peace forever, safely home in Heaven at last. Then you must not grieve so sorely, for I love you dearly still; try to look beyond earth shadows, Pray to trust our Father’s will There is work still waiting for you, so you must not idly stand: do it now, while life remaineth you shall rest in Jesus’ land When that work is all completed, He will gently call you Home; oh the rapture of that meeting, oh the joy to see you come!
